Fabric Book Cover

This project was part of a university live brief competition with the publishing company Profile books to redesign the cover for “Fabric, The Hidden History of the Material World” by Victoria Finlay.

After playing with several wool inspired designs I decided to use real mediums to show the content of the book. I used red fabric for the background because red was mentioned several times throughout the book and used yarn to spell out the title and illustrate a sheep. I then photoshopped the title onto the red background. Part of the brief was a competition in which my design won runner up.
